Accommodate Differences / róng yì

Vision for Art and Life

Works by Lily Cheung

My “traditional Chinese calligraphy” works are done using different media set up in contemporary installations that challenge tradition and explore imagination with no limitations.

Art can also be “róng yì”, (which could also mean “accommodate differences” when written differently in Chinese), meaning EASY, which is what art can be.

Art does not have to be sophisticated and unreachable. Simple, easy “art” can be fun and inspiring.

Practice art as a lifestyle where art and life become identical
