“In vast laboratories in the Ministry of Peace, and in experimental stations, teams of experts are indefatigably at work searching for new and deadlier gases; or for soluble poisons capable of being produced in such quantities as to destroy the vegetation of whole continents; or for breeds of disease germs immunised against all possible antibodies. George Orwell – 1984

A people who’s primary aims are driving, shopping, and television are subject to terrorism at any time. Steven Deitz

Yactac Gallery is proud to present “Microcos(ms)”, a group exhibition by four Contemporary Canadian artists. The works illustrate the presence of biological threats in today’s society, where fear tactics prop up the present pharmaceutical economy. The process of division and amalgamation in microorganisms on manufactured surfaces is translated and applied through
multiple medias.

Yactac are Janice and Justine Cheung, Peggy and Karen Ngan.
